Tips to Help Get Your Student out of Bed

It can often seem like an impossible task to get your student out of bed in the morning and to school on time. However, it just takes a couple of tips and tricks. Below is an article from The Tutoring Center, Wichita with some of the tips which can help!

Start With Their Electronic Devices

Many children don’t get a good night's sleep because they spend all night under the covers using their electronic devices and staying up to date with social media. Combat this by instilling a rule which requires your student to leave their electronic devices in the kitchen. This has another benefit in that your child needs to get out of bed in the morning just to read and reply to their messages, which can work as a great motivator for any teen.

Move Their Alarm

If your student rolls over and hits the snooze button until you start banging on their door, move their alarm to the other side of their bedroom or even to their bedroom door. The reason behind this tip is that, if your child is awake and out of bed to switch off their alarm then they might as well stay out of bed.

Discourage Napping

School can be tiring. This can often lead students to return home and take a nap. This can work against your student when it comes time to go to bed at night just a few hours after they woke from a nap. Instead of allowing napping, find them a fun activity to complete or encourage them to help you with preparing the night’s dinner to keep their brain and their bodies awake.

Improve Their Grades With Tutoring
